Brexit and Us

Will Brexit affect our EU sales?

The short answer is slightly, but hopefully not by much.

As of 1st January 2021, businesses in Great Britain treat EU countries like they already do countries outside the EU. The VAT terminology has changed accordingly. This means you’re still not required to pay VAT at checkout with us but will possibly need to upon import. However you’ll normally be able to reclaim this from your individual tax authority.

There may also be some new checks introduced at borders, such as safety checks and customs declarations which may delay delivery slightly.

Essentially though there is additional red tape and paperwork for us but will usually be none for you. You may also need to pay customs duties on orders, something you will need to consider before purchase. However we look forward to continuing to sell to EU countries for many many years yet!
